As a development engineer you will work with a highly experienced engineering team in the field of motion control and electromechanical systems. You will be designing and modelling electromagnetic behavior of electrical motors, exploring new technologies and innovative electromagnetic designs. You will be involved in the development from ideation through to validation, developing the next generation of electrical motors.

Roles and responsibilities:
  • Electromagnetic development and layout of electric motors
  • Electromagnetic design, modeling and calculation of the electromagnetic flux and behavior of electric motors
  • Calculation of motor characteristics and preparation of necessary documentation, e.g. datasheets and descriptions
  • Electromagnetic and thermal optimizations of electric motors
  • Creation and maintenance winding sheets as well as development documentation, such as technical and production instructions
  • Specification of electrical test values for certification, verification and validation tests
  • Evaluation of electric motor tests
  • Support during tests and measurements
  • Preparation of specifications for new products or systems
  • Complete benchmarking studies and tests
  • Carry out technological market studies in the field of electric motor technology

Experience & skills:
  • Successfully completed studies in physics, electrical engineering, or comparable studies, with an emphasis on electrical machines
  • Professional experience in the design and development of electrical machines
  • Knowledge in the field of modeling and calculation of electrical machines using analytical and numerical methods (finite elements – FE)
  • Experience working with FE programs, preferably SolidWorks EM, FEMAG Maxwell, or Ansys desirable
  • Experience in the use of calculation tools such as MatLab
  • In-depth knowledge of standard motor calculation and electrical measurement technology desirable
  • Strong team and communication skills
  • Self-motivated as well as an independent and organized way of working

You will be involved in the development from ideation through to validation, developing the next generation of electrical motors.

Roles and responsibilities:
  • Conception and design of machines, machine elements and components
  • Calculation of the forces and service-life of machine elements
  • Design of assemblies and individual parts
  • Creation and reviewing of mechanical designs
  • Preparation and maintenance of bill of materials and article specifications in the CAD/ERP system
  • Preparation of production documents

Experience & skills:

As a Technical Project Manager, you will work closely with one of the higher-skilled motion control and industrial automation field and engineering teams in the industry. A team that never rests, that is 100% customer focused, and is all about finding the optimal sweet-spot of the motion application they are facing. You will be in the front-line of STXI Motion in Israel, managing and delivering complex engineering projects of new system solutions for leading OEMs and machine builders, fulfilling a key growth pillar for the company.

Roles and responsibilities:
  • Manage complex electromechanical projects to successful completion from initiation through delivery to closure, while coordinating with the customer’s engineering department, and third-party contractors to deliver projects on time, to spec, and within budget.
  • Lead project development, budgeting, planning and design, scheduling, risk management, and project execution according to critical milestones.
  • Prepare project documentation and briefings, communicating the project’s progress internally and to the customer.
  • Attend customer meetings and will serve as primary contact for the customer with regards to the project specification, working together with the Account Manager to solve commercial challenges.

  • Qualify and test alpha products with other components on the market to ensure compatibility.
  • Create new part designs and product modifications and submit them to the product commission in Israel for approval following the Engineering modification request form.
  • Work with product development and product engineering in Israel to recognize and diagnose chronic problems and failure mechanisms and provide solutions to improve the products Participate in meetings, seminars and training sessions to stay appraised of new developments in the field.
